InnoTrans 2018 GRAMMER presenting rail seat innovations

The leading international trade fair for transport technology, GRAMMER Railway Interior GmbH showcased a series of innovations in the field of railway seats at InnoTrans 2018

Use of light as a comfort and design element:

Light was one of the highlights at GRAMMER’s stand, where the IC3000 passenger seat was displayed to demonstrate the possibilities for integrating light in seat design. Light can be used in many different ways for passenger seats, such as to provide added comfort. For example, it is possible to integrate reading lights, table illumination, aisle lighting or an illuminated seat reservation display in the seat. Used as a design element, light is also ideal for enhancing the interior of the train carriage and giving it an individual touch. Ambient light, illuminated logos in the back of the seat or light piping in the armrest are just a few examples of customized light integration.

As well as this, visitors to GRAMMER’s stand were able to view the seats that will be available in the near future via a new and innovative type of product visualization.

This year marked the debut of the award in the “passenger seats” category. Grammer was able to prevail over the very strong competition, achieving first place right from the start. The ETM award is seen as an important measure of brand positioning within the sector.

“The award is confirmation of the successful work that we have performed in the passenger seat segment over the last few years. With the new and innovative product range that we will be launching in the near future, we plan to strengthen our market position to an even greater extent,” says Daniel Gradl, past Vice President Rail&Bus.
